Noble Aid respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are
Noble Aid ("we", "us", "our") is a charity in formation, in the process of registering as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. We are the "data controller" responsible for your personal information under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- your name and contact details (such as email address and, if you provide it, phone number) — for example when you register your interest, contact us, or offer to volunteer or partner;
- the content of any message you send us;
- if in future you make a donation, the information needed to process it and, where you choose to Gift Aid it, the details required by HMRC (such as your name, home address and a declaration that you are a UK taxpayer).
We do not collect special category data (such as health or religious belief) through this website, and we ask that you don't send it to us unsolicited.
Cookies and tracking
This website is designed to respect your privacy. We do not use advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies to follow you around the web. The site loads a web font from Google Fonts to display correctly; aside from that, we keep third-party requests to a minimum. If we ever introduce analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
How we use your information
We use your information only for the purposes for which you gave it to us, which may include:
- responding to your enquiry or message;
- keeping you updated about Noble Aid, if you have asked us to;
- arranging volunteering or partnership discussions;
- processing and acknowledging donations, and claiming Gift Aid where you have made a declaration;
- keeping proper records as a charity, and meeting our legal and regulatory obligations.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law we must have a lawful basis for using your information. Depending on the situation, we rely on:
- Consent — for example, where you ask us to keep you updated. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for example, responding to an enquiry you have sent us, in a way you would reasonably expect.
- Legal obligation — for example, keeping the records required of a charity, or the records HMRC requires for Gift Aid.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, ever. We only share it where necessary:
- with service providers who help us operate (for example our website host, or an email or form provider), who may only use it on our instructions;
- with HMRC, where required to claim Gift Aid on a donation you have chosen to Gift Aid;
- with regulators or authorities, where we are legally required to do so.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it, or for as long as the law requires. For example, Gift Aid and financial records must be kept for the periods HMRC and charity law specify. Where we hold your details to keep you updated, we will keep them until you ask us to stop.
How we protect it
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to keep your information secure, to limit access to those who need it, and to prevent it from being lost, misused or disclosed improperly.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to us using your information, or withdraw consent you have given;
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation, where applicable.
